UFC fighter Michael Chandler has stated that he may not be ready for a fight against Conor McGregor coming up this summer.

Earlier, the legendary Irish UFC fighter announced a bout against Chandler in the middleweight division on June 29.

"I'm not sure I'll be ready for a summer fight... this came out of the blue... I've been out of the loop. Can y'all ask Dana to confirm this?" - Chandler wrote on the X social media platform (formerly Twitter).

Conor McGregor is one of the most famous and decorated fighters in the UFC. The Irishman has fought in 28 mixed martial arts bouts, winning 22 and suffering six defeats.

McGregor's last fight took place in July 2021, where he lost to Dustin Poirier for the second time in a row. Prior to that, McGregor was defeated by the Frenchman in January 2021.
