UEFA may once again alter the maximum permissible number of players in teams' squads for the 2024 European Championship.

According to The Athletic, on April 8th, UEFA will discuss the possibility of increasing the squad size from 23 to 26 players in the upcoming meeting with representatives from participating federations.

In the previous European Championship, teams were allowed to register 26 players instead of the usual 23, a decision made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This week saw the final three participants of the European Championship determined. The national teams of Poland, Ukraine, and Georgia won the playoff qualifications.

The tournament will kick off on June 14th at the Allianz Arena in Munich with a match between the hosts, Germany, and the national team of Scotland. The final match on July 14th will be held at the Berlin Olympic Stadium. Apart from Munich and Berlin, tournament matches will take place in cities such as Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, and Stuttgart.
