UEFA and CONMEBOL to discuss hosting the Finalissima in Qatar
At the end of March, Argentina and Spain are scheduled to face off in the Finalissima, a clash that was originally set to take place in Qatar. However, it remains uncertain whether the fixture will indeed be held there.
Details: According to Gastón Edul, a meeting between UEFA and CONMEBOL is set to take place later this week, where the venue for the match will be discussed. As of now, no official suspension of the tournament has been announced, but the host city has yet to be confirmed.
We previously reported that after staging the Finalissima in Qatar became impossible due to the military and political situation, FIFA began searching for a new location for the blockbuster encounter. One of the options currently under consideration is the Santiago Bernabéu.
Reminder: The final match between the national teams of Argentina and Spain has been postponed until further notice.
