Tyson Fury lost the bout for the undisputed heavyweight world champion title to Oleksandr Usyk by a split decision.
According to an unnamed source close to the Fury family in a comment to Heat World, the Gypsy King's wife did not want her husband to fight Usyk. Paris felt anger and concern before the match.
"She had to put aside arguments to focus on ensuring he didn't spiral after his defeat. So, if there's a rematch, she'll have to go through another cycle - she's afraid of that," the post reads.
The unnamed individual adds that she begged Tyson not to go through with the first fight. They had heated arguments about it. Ultimately, she couldn't even be present to watch the match because she knew what was likely to happen - and what would come after.
After Tyson defeated Wladimir Klitschko and subsequently retired in 2015, he fell into deep depression and substance abuse. Paris said it was some of the worst years of their lives - now she's afraid of a repeat of that situation.
Turki Al al-Sheikh, the head of the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority, announced the date of the rematch between the fighters on his X page. The bout is set to take place in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh on December 21st.
