Tyson Fury backs Joseph Parker ahead of his fight with Usyk
It appears that British boxer Tyson Fury continues to harbor animosity towards Oleksandr Usyk, to whom he previously lost in two bouts. Fury posted a story on his Instagram, where he unequivocally reacted to the upcoming fight between Usyk and Parker.
The Brit shared the news of the upcoming clash between Usyk and Parker and captioned it with the words “About time as well give Parker his shot,” adding below, “Let's go, Joe.” Thus, Fury clearly demonstrated who he will be supporting in this match.
It should be noted that it was initially planned for Oleksandr to have his next fight against Daniel Dubois, but it has now been revealed that the WBO has mandated Usyk to have a title defense fight with Parker to eliminate the interim champion status. It is reported that the parties have 30 days to agree on the fight.
Recall that Tyson Fury announced his retirement from boxing after losing to Oleksandr Usyk last December in Riyadh. Despite this, there are still rumors that the Brit might return to the ring for a bout against Anthony Joshua.
