Two clubs from South Africa have been punished by FIFA with transfer bans, with one of them facing particularly severe consequences.

Details: Information published on FIFA’s official website confirms that TS Galaxy and Free State Stars have been handed transfer bans. TS Galaxy will be unable to register new players for the next three transfer windows, while Free State Stars have been banned indefinitely.

TS Galaxy currently compete in South Africa’s top division. The team sits eighth in the standings with 21 points after 14 rounds.

As for Free State Stars, at the start of the 2022–23 season the club sold its National First Division status to Casric. That side is currently in second place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Reminder: Adnan Beganovic hopes his midfielder Puso Dithejane will improve his performances after the TS Galaxy player was left out of the Bafana Bafana squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
