Two Premier League clubs have set their sights on Barcelona's young talent

This season, 20-year-old Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez has managed to break into the Blaugrana's main squad, receiving regular game time from Catalan coach Xavi. On the back of good performances, other clubs have taken notice of the half-back.

Several APL teams have added Lopez to their list of transfer targets, and according to Diario Sport, they are Everton and Aston Villa. Notably, it is the Toffees' midfielder Amadou Onana that the Catalan club are interested in, which could prompt the teams to swap players, although Unai Emery also values the 20-year-old Spaniard.

How much a potential transfer could cost, the source does not say. Lopez's contract, which runs until 2027, includes a €400m pay-off, while Transfermarkt values the midfielder at €15m.

In the current season, the 20-year-old midfielder took part in 32 matches in Barcelona, managing to mark six goals and one assist.
