Two nights of heavy drinking, then axed! Grealish caught in explosive Everton scandal
Jack Grealish has found himself at the centre of another alcohol-related controversy, and the timing could hardly be worse.
Details: According to The Sun, the Everton winger spent two consecutive nights drinking and partying on October 19 and 20, shortly before being dropped from the squad for the Carabao Cup clash against Newcastle over a disciplinary breach.
The England international reportedly began his two-day partying spree in London, visiting the BAM Karaoke Box after attending the Pride of Britain Awards. He stayed there drinking and singing with friends until the early hours of the morning.
The following evening, Grealish was spotted at the Mucky Pup Irish pub in Wilmslow, where he was joined by Everton teammates Jordan Pickford and Tyler Dibling, as well as former Manchester City teammate Kyle Walker. According to an eyewitness, the group watched PSG's match against Barcelona in a private room while consuming plenty of alcoholic drinks.
Everton subsequently excluded Grealish from their 3-1 victory over Newcastle. Manager David Moyes publicly supported the club's disciplinary decision. However, Everton have not confirmed that the drinking sessions caused his omission, while separate reports have linked the punishment to an unauthorised absence from training.
It is worth noting that Grealish, who is spending his second consecutive season on loan from Manchester City, has made six appearances for Everton this campaign without registering a goal or an assist.
