It is reported that the Lens vs PSG match, scheduled for April 11, and the Brest vs Strasbourg clash, set for April 12, directly interfere with the European preparations of the involved clubs. Both sides believe it would be right and logical to shift these Ligue 1 fixtures in favor of their continental ambitions.
PSG already executed a similar move ahead of their previous Champions League tie, and the Parisians' management now hopes this strategy will once again work to their advantage.
PSG are set to face Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals on April 8 and 14, while Strasbourg will take on German side Mainz in the Conference League quarterfinals on April 9 and 16.
The LFP board of directors is scheduled to meet on Thursday morning to decide the fate of these two league games. According to regulations, the board has the final say on such matters, and the consent of the opposing teams is not required for a postponement.
