In Salt Lake City, the Biathlon World Cup continues, and last night we witnessed the women's sprint over a 7.5 km distance.

The victor was the Frenchwoman Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, who only incurred one miss and finished in a time of 20:42.7.

Coming in second to the finish line was Norway's Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, who, without any misses, trailed the leader by 13.4 seconds. Rounding out the top three was another Frenchwoman, Lou Jeanmonnot, who also had a flawless performance, finishing 19.2 seconds behind the leader, ahead of Italy's Lisa Vittozzi by less than 10 seconds.

In the top ten, we find three Frenchwomen, two representatives each from Norway and Switzerland, and one athlete from Italy, Austria, and Estonia.

The defending world champion, Julia Simon, crossed the finish line in seventh place, trailing her compatriot in the lead by 1 minute and 15.2 seconds.
