Tshegofatso Mabasa may be history at Orlando Pirates with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns said to be circling the striker for his services
Tshegofatso Mabasa looks set to leave Orlando Pirates in next month’s transfer window.
Mabasa’s current deal with the Sea Robbers expires in June and he is allowed to negotiate with a team of his choice for a new deal as its allowed to happen in his last six months of his existing deal.
His lack of game time at Orlando Stadium is the main and the only signal that the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Moroka Swallows striker is on his way out of the club.
Pirates’ chief rival Kaizer Chiefs and Betway Premiership defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be interested in the striker.
Mabasa is a predator in the box and this season he scored his 50th club goal for Pirates, something which was seen as something the player could use to bargain for a new deal at the club.
It does not seem that convinced the Pirates hierarchy to secure him for the foreseeable future as the striker has been frozen out of the team.
