TS Galaxy beats Jacksa Spears in Nedbank Cup to seal their place in the semifinals of the Ke Yona Cup competition
TS Galaxy booked their place in the Nedbank Cup semifinals with a 2-0 win over Jacksa Spears this afternoon at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
Galaxy are enjoying a good run in the Mpumalanga venue as all their Ke Yona competition matches have taken place at this stadium and not their usual base, Mbombela Stadium.
Igor Silva and Tshepo Kakora scored the goals for the home side as Jacksa Spears were not a threat for Galaxy in both the first and the second half.
It looks like the Solomon Mahlangu venue is a good choice for Galaxy as all their Nedbank Cup matches have been played there and they won them all.
Galaxy beat Marumo Gallants in the last-32, they also won against Mamelodi Sundowns in the last-16 and today Jacksa Spears to seal their place in the last four.
They will be hoping they also play at home in the semi-finals to continue impressing the home crowd.
The Tim Sukazi-owned club do look the part in terms of challenging for the trophy they won in 2019 when they beat Kaizer Chiefs in the final in Durban.
That season they were in the National First Division and they are looking at making history by winning it while playing in the NFD and also annexing it as a Betway Premiership side.
