It is reported that the club's bosses have been impressed with Carrick's achievements as head coach and are ready to offer him a permanent deal until 2029, with an option for extension. The management is prepared to offer Carrick around £16 million including all possible bonuses if he renews his contract after 2029.
Carrick took over the Red Devils in January this year after Ruben Amorim was dismissed following a string of disappointing results.
Since taking the helm at Manchester United, Carrick has managed 7 matches, recording 6 victories and 1 draw.
Reminder: Fantastic result! Carrick matches historic Premier League record
