The fan insists he has no regrets and is ready to go all in:

"I definitely want to watch the whole tournament.

I'm leaving for the USA on June 3 and will stay there for seven weeks. So it’s going to cost me quite a bit.

I'm putting the house up for sale because I'm selling it to go to the World Cup..

The last tournament in Qatar was a gift to myself; I saved up for years. We've had a second home for 27 years, so it just felt like the right time to sell it now." - said Milne.

Andy Milne also made a name for himself among fans during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when a photo of him with a replica Jules Rimet trophy went viral on social media, earning him the nickname “That guy from the World Cup.”

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
