True kindness! Victor Boniface helps Nigeria fans with money transfer
Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has shown his generosity by transferring money to the account of Nigerian football fans, reports Pulse Nigeria.
The fans were waiting for the Nigerian national team’s bus ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations 2025 qualifier against Rwanda. Boniface interacted with one fan through the bus window, who then showed the player the number of his bank account on his phone screen.
Boniface transferred an undisclosed amount of money to the account and gestured for the gift to be shared among all the fans. After the transfer, the crowd erupted in joyful cheers, thanking the player for his kind gesture.
Boniface made his debut for the Nigerian national team in September 2023 but has yet to score for his country. In the current season, he has played 15 matches for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 8 goals in all competitions.
Previously, Boniface was not nominated for the CAF Awards 2024 in the Best Player of the Year category. Last season, he played 34 matches for Bayer, scoring 21 goals. Boniface helped the club win the Bundesliga title, as well as the DFB-Pokal and DFL-Supercup.
