Trouble! Tennis legend Andy Murray suffered huge losses last year
The legendary tennis player Andy Murray managed to amass a massive fortune of £85 million over his career. Part of this wealth was invested by the athlete in various business ventures. However, one of these ventures suffered quite significant losses last year, reports The Sun.
The Cromlix Hotel, purchased by Murray in 2013 for £2 million, although named the best in Scotland in 2024, incurred substantial losses this year. Reports indicate these amounted to £369,000.
To improve the financial situation, Murray and his wife will resort to various changes. A decision has been made to launch their own gin, which will be sold, among other places, at the hotel. Additionally, there are plans to continue developing the hotel by investing in it. They intend to open a new restaurant and build a wellness cottage, which will also feature additional bedrooms.
It should be noted that Murray is an investor in the British clothing brand Castore, which manufactures uniforms for professional sports teams. Besides this, he has invested in technology companies Perkbox, WeSwap, and Seedrs, as well as in the sports technology company TMRW Sports and the sports drink Halo Hydration.
