TREBLE SEASON! Orlando Pirates win a treble of trophies in 14 years as they clinch the Betway Premiership today
Orlando Pirates have won their third treble of trophies in South African football after clinching the PSL title today.
The Sea Robbers painted Mbombela Stadium black and white this afternoon as they defeated Orbit College 2-0 with goals coming from the opponents.
Pirates won their maiden treble in 2010/11, 2011/12 and in this season 2025/26 season.
Today's victory was courtesy of own goals by Orbit College goalkeeer Sanele Nkomo and also defender Ndumiso Ngiba.
The 2010 World Cup venue saw Abdeslam Ouaddou's side's celebrate in unrivaled joy having halted Mamelodi Sundowns' dominance in local football.
Pirates finished with a point more than Sundowns in what was a last day championship victory as the second placed Brazilians are on 68 points.
But Pirates are champions after referee Philangenkosi Khumalo blew the final whistle as the Mbombela Stadium went into raptures.
