Transfer to happen? Bayern ready to fulfil Barcelona's demands on Araujo transfer

One of the main sagas in the winter transfer window was the move of Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo to Bayern Munich, but as we understand, the transfer did not happen. However, the Recordmeister have no intention of letting up and continue to fight for the player.

The Munich club, as reported by Marca, reported through an intermediary that they are ready to pay the amount demanded by the Blaugrana - 100 million euros, but it is unknown whether even that can make the Catalans say goodbye to one of their leaders.

Barcelona are now working hard to extend Araujo's contract, which expires in 2026, for another three years, but amid Bayern's interest, it cannot be 100 per cent certain that the 25-year-old Uruguayan will sign a new deal with the Blaugrana.
