Transfer fee revealed. Liverpool preparing move for African national team star
Liverpool have ramped up their pursuit of PSG's 18-year-old winger Ibrahima Mbaye. According to Football Talk, referencing CaughtOffside, the Merseyside club has already reached out to the player's agent, Jorge Mendes, aiming to secure the transfer this summer.
Reports suggest PSG are willing to let the player go for a fee in the region of £34–42 million. Mbaye himself is reportedly interested in the Reds' project and keen to leave the Parisian club this summer. The youngster is still under contract with the French champions for another two years.
Mbaye primarily operates on the right wing but is also comfortable playing on the left. This versatility fits perfectly with Andoni Iraola's dynamic style of play.
Mbaye is widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents in the Parisian squad. The Senegalese winger made history at 16 as the youngest player ever to start for PSG. He also found the net at the 2026 World Cup in a clash against France.
It's worth noting that Liverpool's interest doesn't stop with Mbaye. The Reds are also working on a deal for his teammate Bradley Barcola, though both transfers are being pursued separately.
