Liverpool and Bayer have agreed on all aspects of the transfer of midfielder Florian Wirtz, with only minor details remaining before the deal is finalized.
Details: One of these details is the medical examination, which, according to Sky Sports, the player will undergo this Friday. He is set to arrive in the UK later this week for the tests, coming straight from his post-season vacation.
Reminder: Earlier reports stated that Bayer will receive a guaranteed payment of €117 million for Wirtz's transfer, with an additional €18 million available in performance-related bonuses.
The German midfielder will sign a contract until 2030, and Bayer's bonuses will depend on Wirtz making a significant contribution to Liverpool's successes.
Last season, Wirtz scored 16 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 matches, tallying 31 points in the "goal+assist" system.
