The 2023/24 La Liga top scorer Artem Dovbyk is poised to swap Rome for Genoa.
Details: According to insider Ekrem Konur, the Ukrainian forward has expressed his readiness to join Genoa. The potential deal would run until 2031: Dovbyk would first spend one season on loan, after which he could sign a four-year permanent contract.
Genoa are already in negotiations with Roma's management. The Italian club is looking to bring in the striker on loan with an option to buy, but a final agreement between the parties has yet to be reached.
At this stage, Dovbyk's own position is no longer expected to be an obstacle to the transfer. The main issue now is the structure of the deal between the clubs. Earlier reports also indicated that Roma are open to letting the Ukrainian leave on loan.
It's worth noting that Artem Dovbyk's current contract with Roma runs until the summer of 2029.
Reminder: Genoa reportedly agree deal to sign Hamed Junior Traoré from Marseille.
