Serie A side Genoa have reportedly reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille to sign Ivorian midfielder Hamed Junior Traoré on a loan deal with an option to buy.

According to reports, the purchase option is valued at more than €8 million, with the 26-year-old expected to undergo his medical next week before the move is finalised.

Traoré joined Marseille on a permanent transfer from Bournemouth in the summer of 2025 but struggled to make a major impact due to injury problems.

The midfielder made 19 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
