Details: Renowned French wheelchair fencer Romain Noble has died at the age of 46 after a prolonged illness. The tragic news was officially announced by the French Federation of Disabled Sports.

Born in Bordeaux in 1980, Noble left an indelible mark on the history of fencing. At the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, he claimed silver in the individual épée event, and four years later in Rio de Janeiro, he played a pivotal role in securing gold for the French team in the team competition.

In addition, Noble was a four-time world champion in the team event and won numerous individual honors on the international stage. Representatives of the French Fencing Federation (FFE) emphasized that Romain Noble’s remarkable career and athletic achievements inspired countless athletes around the globe.
