Former Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboué has come forward with a shocking and emotional confession.

Details: The footballer, once one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League, could not hold back tears as he spoke about losing everything he had worked for his entire life. After a bitter divorce in 2017, his fortune plummeted from $25 million to zero, leaving him on the verge of bankruptcy.

Eboué opened up about how this family drama shattered both his career and his life. According to him, he had invested all his earnings into real estate and assets in England, which were registered in his wife’s name.

Once the divorce proceedings began, his wife took three houses, all the cars, and all the accumulated investments, leaving the former player with nothing. What’s more, Eboué lost the right to see his three children, a blow he described as unbearable.

The situation was further complicated by legal troubles: unable to pay his debt to his agent, Eboué received a one-year ban from all football activities by FIFA.

It’s worth noting that the Ivorian played 204 matches for Arsenal, scoring 10 goals and providing 20 assists, and was part of the squad that won the 2005 FA Cup.

Reminder: It has been revealed whether Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka will recover in time for the Champions League clash against Atletico.
