Real Madrid are facing Mexican side Pachuca in their second match of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Disaster struck as early as the 7th minute, when the Spanish giants were reduced to ten men after a reckless challenge by Raúl Asensio. The defender failed to keep up with Salomón Rondón and brought him down just outside the penalty area. The referee deemed it a last-man foul and, without hesitation, produced a straight red card.

Remarkably, in the previous match against Al Hilal, Asensio was also at the heart of a costly incident — he conceded a penalty after a foul in his own box, a blunder that ultimately cost Real the victory.

In the third round, Madrid will face Salzburg, but their chances of advancing to the playoffs are now hanging by a thread.
