Tottenham wishes to retain the German forward for another year

Tottenham aims to retain the German striker Timo Werner for another season, reported journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Spurs' management is working to extend the collaboration with the player, who belongs to RB Leipzig. The new loan agreement will be in effect from July 2024 to June 2025 under the same terms as in January.
As a reminder, Timo has already played in England. On June 18, 2020, it was announced that he would join Chelsea from July 1, 2020. The player's transfer fee was approximately £50 million. However, on August 9, 2022, he returned to Leipzig. In the winter of 2024, he returned to London.
We previously reported that even if Tottenham does not wish to purchase the striker's contract, considering his uncertain future at RB Leipzig, the likelihood of Werner leaving the "Bulls" this summer is very high, despite his contract running until 2026.
By the way, the Tottenham coach has asked the club's management for at least three transfers in the upcoming window. Among the positions that need to be strengthened are a striker and a central midfielder.
