Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has found himself on the transfer market. The Spurs' decision to part ways with the player has sparked a negative reaction from the Senegalese himself.

Details: According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Tottenham's management has informed the 23-year-old midfielder that he has been listed for transfer. Sarr was far from pleased with the suggestion to leave the club, responding by deleting all posts related to the London side from his social media accounts.

Meanwhile, negotiations with Galatasaray are ongoing. The Turkish powerhouse has already submitted an opening bid of €18 million, which Tottenham rejected, demanding at least €25 million for the midfielder. At the same time, the player has already agreed on personal terms with the Turkish club.

Sarr has been with Tottenham since 2021 after moving from French side Metz. Due to stiff competition in midfield following summer signings, the Senegalese lost his expected playing time, prompting Spurs to put him up for sale before the transfer window closes.

During his five years at Tottenham, Sarr managed to win the Europa League trophy. In the 2025/26 season, he featured in 37 matches, scoring two goals and providing four assists.
