Double raid incoming! Tottenham close in on Marmoush after landing Savinho
Tottenham's raid on Manchester City is turning into a full-scale heist.
Details: According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, Tottenham are very close to agreeing a deal to sign Omar Marmoush, with talks at an advanced stage and progressing well. This comes hours after Spurs reached an £85 million agreement with City for Savinho, making the Egyptian the second part of a sensational double raid.
Marmoush has never truly settled in Manchester since his £59 million move from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025: stuck in Erling Haaland's shadow, he managed just three goals in 21 Premier League appearances last season. The 27-year-old craves a central striker role again, the position where he scored 37 goals in 67 games for Frankfurt, and has already reached a verbal agreement with Spurs.
For Pep Guardiola's successor Enzo Maresca, the double sale will fund a rebuild of City's attack, while De Zerbi gets the firepower he publicly demanded. It's worth noting that if both deals go through, Tottenham's summer spending will smash through the £380 million mark, an unprecedented splurge even by Premier League standards.
Reminder: Tottenham Reach Verbal Agreement with Egyptian Forward Omar Marmoush.
