Tottenham is on the verge of acquiring one of the most talented defenders from Serie A
Tottenham is nearing the signing of Genoa's Radu Drăgușin, a highly-talented defender from Serie A, as reported by teamTalk.
The transfer is expected to take place in early January, with Spurs set to acquire the Romanian center-back for approximately 30 million euros.
Reports indicate that Tottenham's head coach, Ange Postecoglou, is keen on this transfer due to the injury of their leading center-back, Cristian Romero. Preliminary information suggests that the Argentine will spend over a month on the sidelines due to a knee ligament injury, posing serious defensive concerns for Spurs.
At 21 years old, Drăgușin is regarded as one of Serie A's promising young defenders. In the current season, the Romanian player has featured in 20 matches for Genoa across various competitions, contributing with one goal and one assist.
Tottenham currently holds the fourth position in the Premier League standings after 18 rounds. On December 28, Postecoglou's team will face Brighton away from home.
