Tottenham intercepted the Swedish wonderkid from Barcelona

The 17-year-old midfielder Lucas Bergvall from Swedish club Djurgårdens was close to joining Barcelona, but everything changed at the last moment.

The transfer will take place in the summer, as Tottenham will not be able to complete the deal during the winter transfer window.

Bergvall joined Djurgårdens in February 2023 and played 25 matches in the last season of the Swedish championship in 2023, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

His contract with the Scandinavian club is valid until the end of 2025, and Transfermarkt values the player at 5 million euros.
