In the matchday 21 fixture of the English Premier League, Tottenham travelled away to Bournemouth and suffered a 2–3 defeat. However, another controversy unfolded for the Spurs’ head coach.
Details: As it emerged, ahead of the match Tottenham manager Thomas Frank was seen drinking from a cup featuring the Arsenal emblem. He was even asked about it after the game, to which he said he had not noticed it.
Quote: “I definitely didn’t notice that. It would have been absolutely foolish of me to take it if I had known. It’s a bit sad that I’m being asked about this. I would never do something so stupid,” Frank said.
Tottenham are currently 14th in the Premier League table with 27 points after 21 rounds. Up next is an FA Cup match against Aston Villa for Aston Villa.
Reminder: The London club Tottenham are looking to strengthen their left flank and have set their sights on a candidate from Brazil. Tottenham are aiming to sign the young Brazilian left-back Souza.
