Tottenham has reached the final stage of negotiations for the acquisition of Italian Genoa's promising defender Radu Drăgușin, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Spurs are hopeful of sealing the deal next week. It's noted that the clubs have virtually shaken hands, and the verbal agreements should be officially confirmed and put down on paper soon.

According to initial reports previously circulated in the media, the acquisition of the Romanian center-back is estimated to cost Spurs around 30 million euros.

Previously, the agent of the Romanian defender stated that his client isn't eager to depart Genoa midway through the season and is inclined to stay with his current club at least until the summer.

21-year-old Drăgușin is regarded as one of Serie A's most talented young defenders. In the current season, the Romanian footballer has participated in 22 matches for the Griffins across various competitions, registering two goals and one assist.

Tottenham currently holds the fifth position in the Premier League standings after 18 rounds. On January 14th, Postecoglou's squad is set to face Manchester United.
