The athletes' demands were met.

Details: Today, the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation issued a statement announcing that the Skeleton World Championship, scheduled for this Friday, has been officially cancelled.

The reason for the cancellation was the unsatisfactory condition of the track in Innsbruck, Austria, where the event was supposed to take place. It is reported that the competition will be rescheduled for a different date and venue, with further details to be announced later.

The majority of athletes who were set to compete also supported this decision.

The next Skeleton World Cup stage is scheduled for December 12 in Lillehammer, Norway.
