The undisputed super bantamweight world champion Naoya Inoue will face TJ Doheny in his next fight.
As announced by Top Rank on their official page, the bout will take place on September 3 in the undefeated champion's homeland, Tokyo.
In May, Inoue successfully defended his title for the first time by defeating Mexico's Luis Nery.
In the second round, Nery was knocked down but managed to continue the fight. The reigning champion maintained his advantage and dominated the Mexican.
In the fifth round, Nery was knocked down again, and in the sixth round, Inoue sent his opponent to the canvas for the third time, prompting the referee to stop the fight.
Notably, the Japanese boxer has yet to suffer a single defeat in his professional career.
