Top Premier League clubs are interested in a Barcelona defender

Two English Premier League clubs have set their sights on Barcelona defender Jules Koundé. According to Barcacentre, both Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in the services of the 25-year-old French defender.

Both clubs will need to strengthen their defense next summer, and Koundé will be allowed to leave if Barcelona receives a satisfactory offer.

Koundé has been playing for the Catalan club since July 2022. Barcelona paid Sevilla €50 million for the French international player. In the current season, the defender has played 36 matches, scoring two goals and providing four assists in all competitions.

Earlier reports indicated that the Barcelona management is willing to sell their defender, but only if they receive a worthy financial compensation.

Barcelona is currently in third place in the La Liga table. Additionally, Xavi's team has reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, knocking Napoli out of the tournament.
