Top clubs will have limited time to activate Newcastle leader's clausula

There has been talk of a £100million clause in the contract of Newcastle leader Bruno Guimaraes, but as it turns out, top clubs will only be able to utilise it for a limited time.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, such a clause is indeed present in his contract, but it will only be valid from the end of May to the end of June, that is, the first month of the summer transfer window.

Outside of this period, namely in July-August, control over the price of the midfielder and the course of negotiations will be entirely for Newcastle.

It was previously reported that the 26-year-old midfielder has bought a four million pound estate near Newcastle-upon-Tyne and intends to move his family to it, which could signal Guimaraes' intentions to stay at the Magpies .
