Newcastle leader hints at intentions to stay in team amid PSG interest Newcastle leader hints at intentions to stay in team amid PSG interest

Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães was strongly linked with a move to a top European club during the winter transfer window, but it seems the player has decided to remain loyal to the Magpies.

According to The Telegraph, the Brazilian has bought a house near Newcastle-upon-Tyne for four million pounds and it is believed to underline the 26-year-old midfielder's intentions to stay at Newcastle, as his family: wife and two children are due to move to England soon.

Recall that in the winter transfer window Guimarães was linked with a move to PSG, and according to media reports, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United were also interested in him. However, the interest of the top clubs quickly faded away when they learnt the price of the player.

His contract stipulates a £100m pay-off, and Newcastle have no intention of letting the player go for less than that. Because of this, there was no interest in the 26-year-old midfielder in the past transfer window and it's believed there won't be any in the summer either.
