Swansea are set for a significant boost.
Details: According to renowned and respected journalist Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, 36-year-old former Crystal Palace right-back Joel Ward is on the verge of joining Swansea City.
Reports indicate that Ward will join Swansea as a free agent after his contract with Palace expired in July 2025 and was not renewed.

Joel Ward moved to Crystal Palace back in 2012 from Portsmouth for €650,000. Over the years, Ward became a true legend at Crystal Palace, making 364 appearances for the club, scoring 6 goals and providing 10 assists.
Ward's biggest achievement with Palace was winning the FA Cup in 2025.
According to Romano, the official announcement of Joel Ward's move to Swansea will come this Saturday.
