Marc Guéhi is regarded as one of the most sought-after centre-backs in world football. Giants like Liverpool and Manchester City have been tracking the player for some time now. And it has just emerged that another top club has joined the hunt for his signature.
Details: According to the Mirror, London’s Arsenal are entering the competition for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi. The 25-year-old Englishman has grabbed the Gunners’ attention as his contract is set to expire this summer.
Arsenal’s interest in Guéhi isn’t new; the club scouted him last summer but opted for other transfer moves at the time. Now, the Gunners are weighing up whether to try and sign the defender as early as January or wait for a potential free transfer in the summer. Securing one of the Premier League’s top defenders would be a major boost for Mikel Arteta’s squad.
It’s worth noting that this season, the English centre-back has played 25 matches for Crystal Palace, scoring two goals and providing three assists, including a goal in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Arsenal. Transfermarkt currently values the player at €55 million.
