The American powerhouse is planning a major reinforcement.

Details: According to Fabrizio Romano on social network X, Inter Miami has started negotiations with Atletico Madrid regarding the transfer of 31-year-old midfielder Rodrigo De Paul.

The Club World Cup has become a catalyst for the ambitions of the American side, who now want to strengthen the squad to reach an entirely new, competitive level.

De Paul himself has stated that he is open to the move, as his legendary compatriot Leo Messi plays in Miami—a teammate with whom he celebrated World Cup glory in Qatar.

At this stage, the specifics of the talks remain undisclosed, but it is known that Atletico are open to cashing in on the player, especially considering that De Paul's contract expires in a year.

Last season, the Argentinian featured in 50 matches for Los Colchoneros, scoring 3 goals and providing 9 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at 25 million euros.
