The title fight between Americans Shakur Stevenson and Floyd Schofield for the WBC lightweight championship will not take place.

Details: Schofield is unable to enter the ring due to illness.

Three days before the fight, it was revealed that he had been cutting weight too aggressively, which caused severe health issues, leading to his hospitalization.

Schofield’s father denies this, claiming that the boxer was poisoned.

Riyadh Season is now urgently searching for a replacement for Schofield. Potential opponents for Stevenson include Moroccan Moussa Gholam or Briton Josh Pedley.

The Stevenson vs. Schofield fight was scheduled to take place in Riyadh on February 22.
