Mexico national team goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa became a social media sensation after playfully highlighting the age gap between himself and the squad’s youngest player, Gilberto Mora.
The veteran keeper shared a humorous Instagram Stories video: Ochoa approached Mora’s room, opened the door, and caught the young midfielder on camera. Mora, spotting his teammate, couldn’t help but break into a smile. The video was set to a lullaby tune and captioned: "Put my boy to sleep… Have a good rest. Good night."
The clip instantly went viral among Mexican fans, spreading across social networks. Many took Ochoa’s post as a witty comeback to the ongoing jokes about the pronounced age difference between him and Mora.
In recent days, supporters have affectionately dubbed the national team veteran "Don Memo," while the young player is called "Morita," casting the goalkeeper in the role of a father figure or big brother to one of the squad’s most promising talents.
