Last week, the organizers of The Genesis Invitational announced that Tiger Woods would participate in their tournament. However, the American golfer will not be making an appearance after all.

Details: Woods later confirmed that he would be skipping The Genesis Invitational, explaining that he is simply not ready following the death of his mother.

Quote: "I had planned to do it this week, but I’m just not ready. I did everything I could to prepare, knowing that’s what my mom would have wanted, but I’m still grieving her loss. Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be in Torrey later this week and reflect on the kindness that has been shown since my mother’s passing," Woods wrote.

Recently, we reported that Donald Trump, Tiger Woods, and his son Charlie played a round of golf together. A video later surfaced confirming that they indeed played at Trump’s golf club in Palm Beach.

Reminder: Tiger Woods announced the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, on the morning of Tuesday, February 4.
