Thrilled! Savinho dazzles Pep Guardiola with his dribbling during Premier League match
The official Instagram account of Manchester City posted an amusing video capturing head coach Pep Guardiola's reaction to Savinho's incredible dribbling. The episode occurred during the match between Manchester City and Newcastle on February 15, 2025.
In the video, the Brazilian footballer can be seen effortlessly navigating past several opponents, keeping the ball for his team with skillful feints. Through clever editing, a camera angle from the opposite side shows Pep's reaction. Witnessing Savinho's dribbling, Guardiola is thrilled, grabbing his head in amazement at the player's brilliance.
In the comments, one user humorously noted that Pep's reaction was as if he had never coached Messi. Fair enough, considering the Argentine used to perform even more astonishing feats on the field.
Many commenters also highlighted the preceding mini-magic by Savinho, which was set up by a calm and slightly nonchalant header pass from Uzbek Abduqodir Khusanov.
