Three starts, three contributions! Bayern's 18-year-old gem is on fire
Lennart Karl continues to impress for Bayern Munich, turning his recent opportunities in the starting lineup into goals and assists.
Details: The 18-year-old German midfielder has registered a goal contribution in each of his last three starts for Bayern Munich. Karl scored against Mainz and Atlético Madrid, while also providing an assist against Magdeburg. That makes two goals and one assist across three different competitions.
Karl's latest contribution came in the Bundesliga clash against Mainz on November 7. In the 57th minute, the youngster found the back of the net following a scramble inside the penalty area, with Harry Kane providing the assist.
Just four days earlier, Karl had also scored in Bayern's Champions League encounter against Atlético Madrid. The German midfielder opened the scoring in the 54th minute, cleverly lifting the ball over Jan Oblak as the Bavarians went on to secure a 2-0 victory.
His impressive run began on October 28 in the German Cup, when Bayern demolished Magdeburg 6-1. Karl played the full 90 minutes and recorded an assist, adding another goal contribution to his tally.
Interestingly, Karl's appearance against Borussia Dortmund on October 31 does not count towards this streak of starts. He entered that match as a substitute and played just six minutes. The midfielder, born on February 22, 2008, is still only 18 years old.
