They regained their freedom after serving their sentences in Rabat.

Senegalese football fans have been detained in Morocco since 18 January 2026. They were arrested during incidents that occurred during the final between Morocco and Senegal. Subsequently, the 18 supporters were convicted of hooliganism by a court in Rabat. Following the appeal hearing, which upheld their sentences ranging from three months to one year in prison, three of them were released on 18 April.

They left prison after serving their three-month sentences. The supporters who regained their freedom on Saturday will finally be able to rejoin their families in Senegal.
