Three England players have departed from the national team's camp
This week marks the commencement of the new UEFA Nations League campaign. England's national team is set to face Ireland and Finland.
According to the Football Association's website, three players have left the national team’s camp—Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins, and Phil Foden. The first two are returning to their clubs for rehabilitation following minor injuries. As for the Manchester City winger, he has missed training due to illness.
On September 7, the "Three Lions" will play against Ireland, and on September 10, they will face Finland.
It is worth noting that Gareth Southgate has stepped down as the England head coach, with Lee Carsley, the former head coach of the U21 team, taking over. He will remain in charge at least for the September fixtures.
Interim head coach Lee Carsley has finalized the squad for England’s Nations League matches in September.
