Thomas Tuchel refused to continue his cooperation with Bayern. The reasons are known

Thomas Tuchel will not continue his cooperation with Bayern Munich and will leave the club at the end of this season.

According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the reason is that the Munich sporting director, Max Eberl, did not find support among the club's top management, although they made great efforts to do so. Tuchel rejected Bayern's offer on Wednesday night.

On Thursday, the club tried again to convince the German specialist with several solutions, but this did not convince Tuchel. Eberl had promised Tuchel a new three-year contract, but this was not reflected in the specific documents that were presented to Thomas. Tuchel had the impression that the top management of Bayern had sent Eberl to negotiate with him, but had not given him enough power.

The sporting director was not involved in the decision to fire Tuchel in February. However, the club's top bosses who made the decision found it difficult to admit their mistake. The Supervisory Board approved the extension of Tuchel's contract for only one year. Tuchel did not want that.

To recall, Bayern lost the Bundesliga title race to Bayer Leverkusen this season. In the Champions League semi-finals, they were eliminated by Real Madrid.
