Bayern Munich's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, will be leaving the team after the season concludes. This is now final.

At today's press conference before the 34th Bundesliga round against Hoffenheim, Tuchel confirmed that he had indeed been in talks with the club about staying, but they couldn't reach an agreement.

"This is my last press conference as FC Bayern manager. There were talks, but we didn't reach an agreement… so the decision of February still stands", Tuchel stated.

Following Tuchel's announcement, Bayern held negotiations with Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralf Rangnick, but they couldn't reach an agreement with any of them.

Recently, there have been increasing reports that Bayern wants to continue working with Tuchel.

To recall, Bayern lost the Bundesliga title race to Bayer Leverkusen this season. In the Champions League semi-finals, they were eliminated by Real Madrid.
