Bayern’s 32-year-old striker Harry Kane, who knows Arsenal inside out from his many years at Tottenham, shared his expectations for the clash and spoke about the mood in the squad ahead of the game:
"I think this will be the toughest match of the season so far.
Of course, the game against PSG was really tough, but we play a similar style to PSG, and in the first half it almost turned into a one-on-one battle."
That was one of the best halves we've played all season. Against Arsenal, it will be a bit different."
I think Arsenal are very good at some of the things we excel at: habits, second balls, playing it safe, set pieces—they do all the things that make a team a top side. It's going to be a tough evening and probably our hardest match, and it will be interesting to test ourselves." Kane admitted.
At the moment, Bayern lead the overall Champions League group stage table with 12 points, having scored 14 and conceded just 3 goals. Arsenal sit second, also with 12 points and 11 goals scored, but remarkably, they have yet to concede in their four previous matches.
